What is reliability?
The definition of reliability: the ability of a product to complete specified functions within a specified time;
Narrow interpretation: the probability of product failure under various conditions of use;
Broad interpretation: a comprehensive reflection of product reliability, maintainability, and maintenance support, which includes basic performance, safety, failure rate and other requirements. Reliability test: Use artificial simulation and accelerated aging test to verify the degree to which product reliability meets the requirements, also called reliability test.
Voluntary: non-mandatory testing, the reasons for testing are buyer requirements/enhancement of product brand/enhancement of manufacturers’ confidence in products/improvement of user satisfaction/research and development verification, etc.:
Test conditions are determined by the customer: there are no regulatory directives or strong standards to stipulate test conditions and test methods. Manufacturers determine test conditions based on their own product quality and buyer requirements;
PS: GB/T 2423, IEC 60068-2 and other standards are general test standards, which only define test methods but do not clearly specify test conditions;
Test purpose: To verify the actual performance of the product, the accuracy of the test results is required to be higher:
Charging method: Charged by test duration, not by project type
During the use, storage and transportation of products, they will be affected by various climatic and environmental factors (such as light, rain, temperature, humidity, corrosive substances, etc.). The environmental reliability test can verify the product's impact through artificial simulation.
Resistance to the natural environment. Common environmental reliability tests include: rapid temperature changes, etc.
Temperature and humidity aging: high temperature, low temperature, constant temperature and humidity, alternating heat and humidity,
Temperature shock: two-box method, three-box method
Light aging: xenon lamp, UV, carbon arc lamp, metal halide lamp, etc.
Gas corrosion: sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen dioxide, chlorine, etc.
Salt spray corrosion: neutral salt spray, acidic salt spray, copper accelerated salt spray, alternating salt spray
